The town population is marked with an appropriate icon at the top of the game screen.

Each residential building in Flowerberg has a similar icon that shows the population growth your town will experience once you buy and build it.

Please, note: the population numbers cannot exceed the town rating!

If the icon next to the building in the market is highlighted in red, that means your town rating is too low to make this building available. You need to increase the difference between the population and the town rating in favor of the town rating to be able to buy that particular building; this difference must constitute at least the number of residents that the population will grow by according to the population icon next to the building you want to buy.
